Precious Mommy Moment

Buggy loves having his head rubbed.  When he needs consoling, he will walk up to us and put our hands on his head so we'll rub it.  It's very sweet.

Well, he's been a trooper with all the craziness and change lately.  He is adjusting pretty well, however, he has been quite a bit more clingy (new baby or illness?  both?).

Last night, he started crying after we put him to bed.  I went up to check on him.  He was standing at the side of his crib with his bottle in his mouth.  I walked over to him.  He silently lifted my hand with the non-bottle hand and started rubbing his head with it.  He was staring directly into my eyes and looked so sad.

Oh - how that moment pierced my heart.  I held him close for awhile and rubbed his back and his head until he was nearly asleep.  What precious moments spent together in his dark room with worship music playing softly in the background.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to be a mom to these two amazing little boys.

Awww I would have been like you absolutely sappy. New babies mean a lot to an older sibling. LIke change, growing up, finding our place now that there is a smaller more needy person in the house..LIttle guy just needed some extra attention to know he still fit there..

Awwww! I remember those kind of moments with my daughter (now 4 years old). I never realized when I was setting up the nursery how nice it was going to be to have a cozy place for special times with her. I'll always remember the music connected with it too!
