Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Here are some verses for you on this blessed day!  What an amazing job we have - what an amazing job our mothers have had.  I am sobered by the vastness and I am sobered by God's unfailing love to give strength and wisdom through it all!

In Isaiah 66:13, He assures us with, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you..."

He continues addressing our role as mother (and parents) in Psalms 127:3-5, “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!”

Proverbs 31:25-27
...clothed with strength and dignity,
 and she laughs without fear of the future.
 When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.
 She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness."

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
