Breastfeeding in Public: List of Links

Breastfeeding in public has been a hot topic lately.  It is legal in all 50 states to breastfeed in public and is not considered public indecency.  Many states have laws that strengthen women's rights to nurse in public.  Still, many women are harassed.

Shamed.  

Asked to leave.  

Threatened with arrest.

I am not one to push the limits just because something is legal.  I won't do things just because it is within my rights to do so.  I do, however nurse in public.  I don't always cover.  I am almost always quite modest about it (hard to do with a squirmy baby though, hence the "almost"). I'm most comfortable that way.  I feel more people need to nurse in public so that it becomes more accepted.
