Musings from a Tired Mama

I'll admit it - I'm tired.  This insomnia is really kicking my rear end.  Thankfully, I talked with my doctor yesterday about my symptoms and should have more info tomorrow when the lab work comes in.  Preliminary diagnosis - postpartum thyroiditis.  I am completely off my Synthroid right now so that I can feel better faster.  I felt a little better throughout the day today so hopefully I can sleep tonight!

With that said, I am hopelessly behind on the 31 Days to a Better Blog challenge.  Well, not hopelessly.  The days that involve a lot of work, I am reading and processing but not acting on.  Today's assignment was to come up with 10 post ideas.  I have a bunch!  What are they?  It's a secret!  You all will find out soon enough!  Yeah, I'm a tease!

Now, onto my musings! 

Have you ever just had random things running through your head?  Here's what's gone through my head this evening:
  • How is it that Buggy can eat all of a cheerio and a half all day for several days straight yet he can still completely fill several diapers each day?
  • Where can I go to reclaim all the sleep I fought when I was young?
  • How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
  • How do sleeping children know the EXACT moment a mommy sits down to eat a hot meal?
  • How is it that there are a bazillion channels on TV, yet there is never anything good on?
  • Will we be able to finish painting the living room by the end of the weekend? 
  • How long will it take for Buggy to be covered in paint tomorrow?
What rattles around in your head when nobody else is around?

I have hypo-thyroidism and it's a bear. You are running on overdrive lady, I remember it well. Any time I overmedicated I was up all night and the heart would race. I hope you even out soon - a tired Mommy is a grumpy Mommy.

I just read a blog that recommended lavendar oil drops (3) on pillow, no tpillowcase it stains, for insomnia??? Sounds harmless enough (the lavendar oil)

Good Luck it is the worst to watch that clock and think 5 hours of sleep, no four hours....
