Buggy's First Joke

It's been a roller coaster week, so it is time for some levity!  Without further ado, Buggy's first joke:

As Buggy was waking, unhappily, from a nap, I tried to help him become cheerful by slowing down the awakening process.  I laid on the floor and reached through the crib bars, encouraging him to "night-nap" with mama.  As I stroked his hands and hair, I discovered nearly a whole banana smushed into his hair.  I kid you not - it was a LOT of banana! I just said to him, "You're a nana-head!"  He stood up, looked at me with his ice-blue 21-month-old eyes, and said, "No."  He proceeded to put his bottle atop his head and said, "Ba-ba-head!"  Enter big grin from Buggy and hoots of laughter from mama!

After retelling this story to others, I have begun to realize that we are in over our heads with this little one. Completely. Over. Our. Heads.
