Can We Live up to This?

Wow.  This verse struck me to the core.  Today was a rough day.  A long day.  A good day, but a long day that ended in a LOT of whining - and not always just by my son.  I whined a lot too.  I was cranky and tired.  I was snippy.  I lost my cool on quite a few occasions.

I am so thankful that God gives grace.  I am so thankful that His mercies are new every morning.  I am so thankful that He loves us despite our flaws.

Colossians 3:12-15 (New Living Translation)
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
