Car Seat Failure

I am pretty hard-nosed about car seat safety.  We are having Buggy sit rear facing until at least age 2.  He will be in a 5 point harness as long as possible.  I have been doing a lot of research on car seat safety and have been learning a lot.  Car seats today are generally very safe when used properly.  A good, secure install is the most important factor (seatbelt install and latch install show no difference in safety when done correctly - latch installs are a bit easier than seatbelt installs).  The biggest problem with car seats today is failure in specific parts.

I watched this video and it shocked me.  I don't have one of the brands listed, but I will be checking our Graco SafeSeat before driving anywhere with Buggy.  I will be checking each seat before purchasing his convertible seat in the near future.  Just a warning!  Check those seats!  Keep your kids safe!
