Rediscovering Domesticity: God in My Car

God in My Car

Yes, some folks will think this title strange.  Some will think the subject matter strange.  Too bad.  It is what it is!

I am finally rediscovering my love of music.  While teaching music for 9 years, I just couldn't bear listening to any more music once I left school.  I became a talk radio junkie.  Now that it has been nearly a year and a half without being in the classroom, I am finally beginning to listen to music again.

On my way up to Hubby's university (where he teaches music) tonight, I put in a CD I hadn't heard in ages - Third Day's Time.  As I drove the windy mountain roads, God touched my heart and softened it a bit.  He gave me a glimpse - as brief as a breath - of His love for me.  Needless to say, I was moved beyond words.

So, for my post tonight, I want to share with you truths about God's love.  Imagine Him speaking these words just to you.

"I've Always Loved You"

I don't know how to explain it
But I know that words will hardly do
Miracles with signs and wonders
Aren't enough for me to prove to you

Don't you know I've always loved you
Even before there was time
Though you turn away
I'll tell you still
Don't you know I've always loved you
And I always will

Greater love has not a man
Than the one who gives his life to prove
That he would do anything
And that's what I'm going to do for you
