Parenting: Words Hurt

I am new to parenting, but not new to kids.  After teaching for 9 years, I have dealt with a LOT of kids.  I have learned a lot about how children interact.  I have seen the hurt in a child's eyes after being bullied.  Most of all, I have learned how much words hurt.
