Friday Favorites

What an adventure blogging has been.  I am amazed at the amazing ladies and gents of the blogoshere - so full of wisdom and insight.  I have been challenged immensely this week.

Kristen at We Are THAT Family opened my eyes to what a cushy life we have as Christians here in the US in her post about the Persecuted Church.

Mark at The Blazing Center encouraged me in prayer this week.  God has been whispering to my heart about how I need to grow in prayer.  Mark helped me see how I can have the courage to pray.

Amy at Finer Things helped me have empathy for all sorts of situations as moms from the working mom to stay at home mom.  We really don't know the situations behind every mom.  The post was part of her Mommy Come Home series.

Keeper of the Home gave me great baby steps I can take to begin to help my family eat more healthy foods.

Maya at Simple Mom challenged me to declutter and simplify my life.  Her post on frugality spurred my desire to do some container gardening next summer!  I'd love suggestions!

My good friend, Erika, at Stewardship Diaries gave me lots to think about regarding vaccinations and my baby with her amazing research on vaccines and alternative thinking/schedules geared to new parents.  It's great to find easy to read research on the non-mainstream side of the vaccine debate.  This post (as well as a few others she did this week) was a nice compliment to  The Vaccine Book: Making the Right Decision for Your Child (Sears Parenting Library) that I am using along with my doctor's advice.

Laura at Heavenly Homemaker posted an amazing recipe that I plan to try next week - Garlic Chicken Pasta and Three Cheese Garlic Chicken Pasta.  Yum!  It's healthy too!
