Crock Pot Cry-Out

I love my crock pot.  I try to use it at least once a week.  I am in a quandry and hope some of my readers could help!

I need some ideas.  I have pork chops.  A lot of pork chops.  I have potatoes.  A lot of potatoes.  I would love to make pork chops and potatoes for dinner this week.  I was wondering - can I "bake" potatoes in a crock pot?  I have a large oval crock pot with 2 crocks - one large oval one and one divided crock.

What do you think?

Check out other crock pot ideas on diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com.

Potatoes do great in the crockpot. I often put a roast or chicken in with some potatoes, carrots, and onions and let it all cook. If you have meat, the juices from the meat will create enough liquid to cook them. If you're just doing potatoes, you might need to add water or broth- I've never done that.

Here's my fave way to do porkchops- put in the oven or crock pot with a can or two of cream of mushroom soup. My mom always fried the chops first, but that's too much work for me. :) It makes a wonderful gravy for those potatoes, too.
